Hey Hey! This was my first project post the ‘Rona lockdown, and its such a GEM! I’m so excited to walk you through this complete bakery room transformation. It’s a goodie, friend!
A long time family friend reconnected with me on IG, when her husband had finally had enough of the cluttered bakery room, that had also started to clutter other parts of their home.
Sound familiar?
My client is a longggg time baker and has accumulated tons and tons and TONS of baking stuff, and well, it was time for a little TLC to bless the space.
So before I keep going, let me just show you the space.
BEFORE:
Chaotic, right? Well not anymore! This project turned out AMAZING and my client was beyond excited with how it turned out.
So, first up, Project Details,
and then I’ll go into my three step process of how I achieved the final look for this space!
Client Vision for the space: My client (and her husband) wanted a fully organized bakery station in their home that would also serve as a multi-purpose space. Along with a perfectly organized bakery area, she wanted to bring in a desk/chair so she could have client consultations. She also wanted to clear out the kitchen area that had turned into a storing space for baking things to be organized in this room.
Hours to Complete: 20
Client Budget: $500
Let’s get into the process
The TBK process is simple, I promise. It’s my 3 step process that I follow for every project when organizing homes.
- Purge: Before any organizing project, you HAVE to purge. You just have to. No need in organizing things you don’t need, use, or love. Clutter takes up valuable space in your home. My client did not want much involvement in the organizing project (most don’t lol) so I pulled everything out, made my first pass on what I gathered, and then called her in to make the final decision on what stayed and went.
- Sort: Once we completely got rid of what wasn’t staying in categorized everything- likes with likes. So stencils in one spot, molds in another, fondant in another, you get the gist.
- Organize: My faveeee! This is where I get to go shopping for all the goodies to really add functionality and aesthetics into the space. Keep in mind you should always aim for FUNCTION first.
Pro Tip: Make sure to measure before buying all this fancy fancy stuff. Nothing sucks more than going to the Container Store, buying all this expensive stuff, just to get home and none of it fits. If you’re not sure on how to measure properly, check out this video of me showing you how to properly measure before buying product.
Alrighty, so let’s get you to the after, it’s pretty epic, if you ask me!
after
Before I go, let’s chat about some of my fave products used for this space and WHY I chose them.

- They come in an assortment of sizes to fit the most awkwardly shaped things
*CHANCELLOR Baskets
- The XL sizes allow for great coverage of containing large things, like these baking sheets
- They provide awesome uniformity
- They’re stackable, which helps to maximize vertical space and allows you to fit more things
*ArtBin Medium Divided Super Satchel Clear
- Perfect for smaller items that need to be stored in categorized groups
- The compartments are adjustable
- The handle makes this a grab-n-go item, perfect for on the move
*Craft & media organizer box
- The size allows you to fit larger items that need to be stored in categorized groups
- They’re stackable, which allows for greater use of space
- They’re clear, which allows you to see directly what’s in each bin

- Really, I just loved this and my client did too! All of her sprinkles are in one central place, and it added a little decor to her space. #doublewin
